THINGS TO DO
SHELLONA
One of our favorite spots on the island on beautiful shell beach. Great for lunch (they close at 5 pm).
LA PETITE COLOMBE BAKERY LORIENT
Great little bakery for croissants and bread.
LE SELECT
Casual & classic burger place in Gustavia.
GYP SEA BEACH HOUSE
Gip Sea - Eden Rock or Pearl all have beach clubs in St. Jean. A beautiful beach for swimming and fun place to have lunch and watch the planes fly in.
BONITO SAINT BARTH
If you are looking for a night out, beautiful restaurant overlooking the harbor in Gustavia.
HIKES
Both Colombier and Piscines Naturelle are great hikes on the island. Colombier is a beautiful beach only accessible by trail or boat. It is a great place to watch the sunset.
The Piscine Naturelle hike, near the wedding site, starts from Petit Cul De Sac, but you can also park and leave from our house. It's a 30-minute trail leading to the Natural Pools at Grand Fond. The hike can be challenging, especially the steep climb at the end. Aim for a morning hike before it gets too hot and windy. Don't forget swim-friendly sneakers—there might be sea urchins in the pools.
Tamarin
Great secluded restaurant for dinner. Closer to Saline beach.
Le Toiny Lunch
If you are staying near the wedding site, Le Toiny has a cute little restaurant and beach club for lunch that is beautiful and more secluded than St. Jean.
BEACHES
PLAGE DES SALINES
This isolated beach offers a long, scenic stretch of sand for swimming, sunbathing & more. Note its about a 10 minute walk in over a sand dune.
ANSE DU GOUVERNEUR
One of our favorites. Secluded beach in a cliff-sheltered cove popular for swimming, with a clothing-optional area.
COLOMBIER
Pack some food and a bottle of rose and plan for a hike to Colombier. Surrounded by lush greens, this cove-like beach features fine white sand & clear waters. It's about 50 minute hike, and some parts can be a bit rough. The beach is secluded and is great for sunsets.
Accessible only by boat or by hiking trails.
SAINT-JEAN
St Jean's beach is separated by the Eden Rock hotel. The western section is a fairly narrow strip right below the tiny airport, making it a favorite place to watch the planes fly in. There are a lot of restaurants and beach clubs on Saint-Jean if you are looking for a to have a beach chair for the day.
FLAMANDS
A great and easily accessible beach with beautiful sunset views. Sit on the beach for a picnic or pop into the Cheval Blanc for a drink and a bite at their hotel.
SHELLONA & SHELL BEACH
A beach made of seashells, with a cute restaurant. Our favorite place for a late lunch on the island.

VILLA RENTAL

For accommodations, renting a villa is the vibe. Flying solo? Drop me a message for group villa coordination. You can find a place on Airbnb or VRBO. Villa rental services have more to offer James from Premium IV for an extra 5% off by dropping the "Murphy Party" hint. Psst, they even have a concierge service—ask about the VIP airport treatment at SXM customs. Their picks in the link below.
Quick heads-up: it's off-season, so you can usually negotiate on Airbnb/VRBO for 10% off. Plus, no need to commit to a full-week stay. See you there!
HÔTELS
WHITE LOTUS VIBES
If a hotel is more your speed. There are a few fabulous ones on our end of the island.
RIDES
CARS
We suggest renting a car while you are there, it makes it much easier for getting around and taxis can be expensive. Heads up: the roads are small and the cars are small.
Go for a Moke if you're feeling flirty and watch out for turtles crossing the road.
WEDDING NIGHT
We will be sending out an update with transportation options for the wedding night.
FAQ
WHERE TO GET FRENCH CHEESE AND ROSE (AND OTHER GROCERIES)?
Marche U - While there are some fun restaurants on the island they can be a bit pricey. The markets in Saint Barth's are great and have an assortment of French products and good produce. Wine is also quite reasonable as the French would consider it an insult to overprice rosé (Michael's standard is 7 € a bottle). There is a large Marche U across from the airport and a smaller one on the east side of the island in Lorient.
HOW BIG IS THE ISLAND?
The island is quite small, it takes about 20-30 minutes to get from one side to the next. From the east side where the event is, it should take about 20 minutes to get to Gouverneur or Saline Beach so you can easily squeeze in a beach day before the ceremony & celebration.
BEST LOCATION TO STAY IN?
We would suggest staying on the East Side of the island close to where the wedding is. We are working on transportation options for the night of, and being in any of the closer neighborhoods will make it easier to get home (Point Milou, Petite & Grand Cul De Sac, Vitet, Lorient & St. Jean).
WHERE CAN I FIND A BEACH CLUB?
If you are looking for a beach club or a place to have lunch, grab a drink and a beach chair there are a few options. Cheval Blanc on Flamand (great for sunset) or Shellona (on Shell Beach in Gustavia). There a ton of beach clubs in St. Jean where you can watch the planes fly in over the bay (Gyp Sea, Nikki Beach, Pearl, Eden Rock etc). It is the low season so you shouldn't have any issues getting in anywhere.
WHERE IS THE BEST SHOPPING?
Gustavia is the main town and by far the largest, that is where you will find most of the restaurants and shops.
WHAT TYPES OF BEACHES ARE THEY?
Most of the beaches (that are not beach clubs) Colombier, Saline, and Gouverneur are more rustic, you should plan to bring water, food or anything else you want for the day.
WHAT'S HAPPENING ON SATURDAY?
We thought it would be fun for everyone to have a full day, and possibly all meet up at the beach for a dip. No formalized plans yet.
